Apex technology of the data age. The field of artificial intelligence (AI) has made steady progress over the past few decades, but it is only recently that progress accelerated rapidly as scientific advances were translated into real-world use cases. That’s what I mean. In recent years, AI has always developed rapidly and reached a tipping point. Today, we are in the midst of an AI revolution, harnessing the power of AI like never before.
But before we explore how AI is revolutionizing our lives, we must first look at how it got to where it is today. AI was already in the minds of prominent scientists by the 1950s, as evidenced by Alan Turing in his 1950 paper “Computing Machinery and Intelligence.” Between 1957 and his 1974, computing power advanced enough to allow humans to improve machine learning algorithms and use AI.
