Google Partners who will meet the new February 2022 Partner requirements get the new Partner badge later in June. After the delay of initial program changes, partners asked Google if they could receive the new badges in case they meet the requirements of 2022 before the due date.

Updated Partner program launch was delayed due to COVID-19. Changes to the Partner program were announced in February 2020 and expected to go live in June of the same year due to the pandemic the focus of many Google Ad Users and Google Partners has been shifted, so Google decided to change the due date to meet the new requirements to 2021. In February of 2021, an email was sent by Google to Partners announcing the official date of the change to February 2022.
Google to release new Partner badge
In order to earn this new badge, Partners will have to meet updated requirements around performance, spend, and certifications. An optimization score of 70% maintained by the Advertisers. But have the option to apply or dismiss recommendations to achieve that score. This change was popular amongst advertisers after Search Engine Land’s original article launched. “Our partners know their clients better than we do. So we can make recommendations, but they can decide if it’s the right move.”
