WhatsApp iPhone users will soon get this easy video call feature. This feature will allow iPhone(iOS) users to use other applications while Continuing on a WhatsApp video call.

WhatsApp is moving out a new picture-in-picture feature mode for Whatsapp video calls for iPhone(iOS) beta users. The new feature will allow users to open and use multiple other apps simultaneously during a WhatsApp video call. Notably, this new feature is only available to certain iOS beta testers.

According to Whatsapp BetaInfo, WhatsApp has released this new Picture-in-picture feature mode for only some beta iOS beta testers who have installed this latest version of  WhatsApp beta for iPhone iOS 22.24.0.79 update. This feature will be available to more users in the coming days or we can say in the future.

What is the WhatsApp picture-in-picture mode?

You can see in this screenshot of the new feature which was released by WABetaInfo, it is clear that the new feature picture-in-picture mode will allow users to multitask on the phone while standing on a WhatsApp video call. Significantly, during a video call, if a user wants to close the WhatsApp app, the picture-in-picture view will immediately show up on the main window of the iPhone(iOS). This is quite an Interesting Feature. This will help iPhone users to use others apps on the phone without closing the Whatsapp video call window or pausing their own mobile camera.

In addition, the picture-in-picture mode is currently now available on iOS 16.1, and later, it might be one of the characteristics helped by the update that gets official support for iOS 16. WhatsApp is also starting to work on releasing support for iOS 15-powered devices.

This feature is picture-in-picture mode for WhatsApp video calls is already available for Android users. Along with that, WhatsApp also allows both Android users and iOS users to turn on the picture-in-picture mode to watch, and shared videos, and files on the applications.

To turn on this feature picture-in-picture mode, you have to go to device Settings> Apps and Notifications> WhatsApp> Advanced < Picture-in-picture.

In the meantime, WhatsApp is also testing another update which is re-designing and adding more options under the disappearing messages shortcut button. In addition, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform has redesigned and launched eight emojis and will add 21 new emojis to enhance the messaging experience of the users.
