Oppo recently comes up with ColorOS 12 for its smartphones. The latest ColorOS 12 (based on Android 12) upgrade is already launched to various Oppo handsets. It includes the Find X2, Reno6 Pro 5G, Reno6 Pro 5G Diwali Edition, Reno6 5G, and Reno5 Pro 5G models. Along with the new update, the company also releases the ColorOS 12 beta version for the Oppo A74 5G device.

The latest version of ColorOS 12 will also be there on Reno5 Pro 5G and F19 Pro+ smartphones starting from January 18, 2022. Furthermore, this version will be available for Reno4 Pro, F19 Pro, and F17 Pro smartphones effective in February 2022. Later in  March, the beta version is available for the Oppo A53s device.

Soon the devices will start receiving notifications and will get the stable version of UI.  To start installing the update, users need to click on the notification.

People can also individually check for updates by going to Settings > Software Update. To participate in the beta program, consumers must first register their smartphones on the company’s official website.

Features Of Colors 12

The ColorOS 12 version adds plenty of new features to the devices. Customization of the user interface, three-finger translation, FlexDrop, Private System, and other features are also on the list. Other features with ColorOS 12 are a new acrylic icon, a frameless design, and a unique interface screen. Quick-view cards or widgets are also included in the company’s most recent UI. The OS layer also includes new Emoji, a virtual avatar created using standard cameras and face recognition algorithms.

ColorOS 12 also includes cross-screen interconnection, allowing users to link their smartphone to their computer.  It has Android 12 functions such as the Privacy Dashboard, GPS, microphone & camera usage indicators, and many others.
