The Game Awards, hosted by Geoff Keighley, is understood not only for its awards but also for the news it develops there are plenty of promised world premiere trailers and game displays. During Thursday’s event, Keighley handed out awards for the year’s finest games in between hours of statements, including game updates, release dates, and new trailers.
Keighley’s been mocking the event in the lead-up to Thursday’s broadcast; arriving into the event, fans knew to expect specific things, like Tekken 8 news, a trailer for Destiny 2’s Lightfall addition, and a version from the crew Hozier, which has a song in God of War Ragnarök. HELL BOY: WEB OF WYRD REVEALED
Mike Mignola is creating a Hell Boy video game with Upstream Arcade, Good Shepard Entertainment, and Dark Horse Comics. The cel-shaded Hell Boy: Web of Wyrd is arriving on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. No release date just yet.
AMONG US HIDE-AND-SEEK
Among Us is no longer just a social hypothesis party game it’s reaching a hide-and-seek mode on Dec. 9.
STREET FIGHTER 6 RELEASE DATE

HADES 2 ANNOUNCED
Actually, everyone’s 2020 game of the year, Hades is bringing a sequel starring the princess of the underworld. It’ll be released in early access, with timing facts to come in 2023.
BIOSHOCK CREATOR ANNOUNCES JUDAS

CELESTE CREATOR SHOWS OFF EARTHBLADE
Earthblade is the upcoming game from Celeste creator Extremely OK Games, coming in 2024.
DEATH STRANDING SEQUEL DEBUTED
Hideo Kojima’s upcoming game is Death Stranding 2, displayed in a shady trailer that, yet to, features a baby. Kojima was on the indicator at The Game Awards to debut the trailer. Norman Reedus and Léa Seydoux will earlier again replace in Death Stranding 2.
TEKKEN 8 GAMEPLAY
It’s the first gameplay trailer for Tekken 8, where fists will meet fate. Intrinsically.
DIABLO 4 RELEASE DATE
The highly-expected Diablo 4 will be released on June 6, 2023, and Blizzard Entertainment revealed it at The Game Awards. The release date leaked earlier Thursday, alongside a report from The Washington Post that indicated mismanagement led to the game’s holds, and that the team allegedly has to crunch to complete it in time.
NEW SUPER MARIO BROS. CLIP, FEATURING LOTS OF TOADS
