Twitter is coming up with a new feature these days. Twitter Rolls Out Tipping Feature to Android smartphones now. This will allow users to give money to their favorite content providers. This is not something new that is coming up. Previously, there is an addition of the Tip Jar feature to the iOS platform this year. It enables producers, journalists, and organizations to monetize their tweets in the form of tips. The Tip Jar function was first introduced in May of this year. But later it is available to all iOS users over the age of 18 in September. As per the reports, the social media platform is also working on a feature that will enable users to accept Bitcoin tips through the tip jar.

After Twitter Rolls Out Tipping Feature, allows users to publish links to their Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, Paypal, and Venmo accounts in order to get tips from their followers. Separately, Twitter is said to discontinue the support for Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) on both iOS and Android.

Recently announcement is there about the availability of the tipping feature for Android. By using the Edit Profile option, an individual can add the Tips symbol to their profile. Currently, only a small number of producers, journalists, and organizations are eligible to get them. This feature is for the users involved in conversations on Twitter. 

Twitter is not the only social media site that is attempting to monetize its app and assist creators in making a living. There are some others as well, such as TikTok. Last month, it is also working on developing a new in-app tipping tool on its website that will enable creators to make money from followers outside of TikTok LIVE streams, where giving is currently possible. The function is now part of a restricted test and is not yet generally available, according to the business.
