Volkswagen partners with Microsoft to build Connected Cars

One of the most popular Automotive company, Volkswagen has made a partnership with Microsoft in order to develop cloud-connected cars. The German automaker would like to be a freedom supplier with a fully connected fleet.

The two firms will operate heading to together to create the ‘Volkswagen Automotive Cloud’, said to be among the biggest clouds in the business. According to Microsoft’s Azure platform, it’s also going to encourage all prospective VW electronic services and freedom offerings.

Past the year 2020, roughly over 5 million new VW-brand vehicles each year will likely to be fully joined as a member of the cloud. Therefore, the automaker firm will going to have the ability to maximize the interconnection of automobile, which will be a cloud-based system and customer-centric services for each its brands, such as the”Volkswagen We” ecosystem.

As a part of the digital growth, Volkswagen is also likely to set a new automotive cloud development office in a number of the pieces of North America, close to Microsoft’s very own headquarters. Subsequently, the latter will offer hands-on assistance and tools, while the workforce is forecast to grow to approximately 300 engineers in the not too distant future.
